Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, individuals on Medicaid were required to re-enroll each year in order to continue receiving benefits. Annual re-enrollment was paused during the pandemic, however, due to the recent end of the public health emergency, all Medicaid-eligible individuals must resume annual re-enrollment, or they may lose their benefits. Each state is handling Medicaid re-enrollment differently.
