NDSS Supports Reintroduction of the Transformation to Competitive Integrated Employment Act

Published on

U.S. Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Steve Daines (R-MT) and U.S. Representatives Bobby Scott (D-VA-3) and Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA-5) reintroduced the Transformation to Competitive Integrated Employment Act (TCIEA) to end subminimum wage for people with disabilities. The National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) strongly supports this piece of legislation and urges its swift passage.

The reintroduction comes shortly after the release of a new Government Accountability Office (GAO) report on the issue which can be found here.

Advocates can take action and urge their Members of Congress to support the bill using our action alert here.
