NDSS Letter to Congress on the Energy and Commerce Passed Budget Resolution

On May 20, 2025, the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) sent a letter to Congressional leadership outlining critical concerns about Medicaid-related provisions in the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s recently passed budget reconciliation bill.

The letter highlights the unintended consequences that could happen as a result of the recently passed budget reconciliation bill that could pose significant risks to the health, independence, and financial stability of people with disabilities.

NDSS urges Congress to reject these harmful proposals and to protect Medicaid’s role as a lifeline for people with disabilities.
