Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, individuals on Medicaid were required to re-enroll each year in order to continue receiving benefits. Annual re-enrollment was paused during the pandemic, however, due to the recent end of the public health emergency, all Medicaid-eligible individuals must resume annual re-enrollment, or they may lose their benefits. Each state is handling Medicaid re-enrollment differently.
We encourage you to reach out to your local Down syndrome affiliate or Medicaid office to understand how this may affect you or your loved one with Down syndrome. Find your state’s Medicaid program information here. Click the PDF below to learn more.
